Nafiz Albayrak - Tolga Özbek / New York, March 21 () - The premier gala of long-awaited Hollywood movie "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" that was held in New York welcomed leading actors as well as officials of main sponsor Turkish Airlines.

The premier screening held at Radio City Music Hall on March 20 hosted Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Director Zack Snyder, as well as famous actor Will Smith and Warner Bross CEO Kevin Tsujihara, along with many other Hollywood stars.

Batman and Superman appear together for the first time in the movie. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is known as one of the most expensive Hollywood productions, costing 410 million dollars. First screening will be made on the same day in Turkey and across the world, on March 25.

Hosted by Turkish Airlines Chairman İlker Aycı, the event welcomed Doğan News Agency () General Manager Uğur Cebeci and Hürriyet columnist Ertuğrul Özkök as well.

Attendees were surprised to see a black carpet rather than red, while around three thousand fans flocked to the gala and chanted slogans, despite the cold weather.

"Turkish Airlines is an air company with flights reaching the highest number of regions, with some 113 countries. The movie that gives a global message and attracts fans around the world is one of the most significant productions of 2016, where two major characters meet. Turkish Airlines made the decision to support the project after considering its potential contribution to its operation around the globe" Turkish Airlines Chairman İlker Aycı told .

"A real product placement was achieved for the first time in a Batman film. This was succeeded through Turkish Airlines and it is a matter for pride" Aycı added.

İlker Aycı also announced that the movie will be screened on Turkish Airlines flights for the first time within the in flight entertainment systems, following the screenings in movie theaters.

Passengers will be offered specially designed menus and passenger bags, while trailers will be shown periodically in the planes, he said.
