Istanbul, March 7 () - The Women Entrepreneurs Association (KAGİDER) invited all women to be close followers of goals for 2025 set by the W-20, who has gathered within the G-20 Leaders Summit held in Turkey's Antalya, as the world celebrates March 8 International Working Women's Day.

"As women who have gathered under the same roof of KAGİDER, we invite all women and civil and professional organizations working for women to be close followers of global measurable targets accepted unanimously in Women-20 Summit, held in parallel with G-20 chaired by Turkey, regarding gender equality and economic empowerment of women" said KAGİDER Chair Sanem Oktar.

The W-20 Summit has set 2025 goals on October 16-17 as follows:

1- Increase labour force participation of women by 20 percent compared to men

2- Increase the presence of women in professional and technical professions by 10 percent compared to men

3- Increase salary level for same profession by 10 percent compared to men

4 - Increase women in both public sector and private sector leadership positions by 10 percent compared to men

5- Decrease the hours spent for unpaid care work of women by 10 percent compared to men

6- Increase composite rate of women's literacy, and registration to primary, secondary and higher education by 10 percent compared to men

7- Increase women's access to accounts in financial institutions and use of mobile banking, credit viability compared to men

8- Further increase women's use of mobile and internet

9- Increase number of institutions offering care service to children, elders, disabled people and patients by 10 percent compared to overall population

According to Oktar, these goals will mean that employment of women in production and service sectors will reach 11 million by additional employment of 3 million to 8 million women. Additionally, 50 thousand entrepreneurs will be added to 100 thousand other women. Another asset will be the implementation of thousands of institutions helping women with care services to children, elder people, disabled people and patients, which "stand on the way of women's entrepreneurship and employment".

"In the next 10 years, 3 million more female employers and 50 percent more women entrepreneurs means that Turkey would be a model for gender equality and economic empowerment of women" Sanem Oktar urged.
