Hasan Kırmızıtaş / Gaziantep, Nov 4 () - The largest park of Turkey has been built in southeastern province of Gaziantep, expanding in a 1,700,000-m2-large area.

Located in Tutluk region of Şahinbey district, the Yeşilvadi Park includes picnic areas, an aerated lagoon, bicycle and race tracks, an adventure park, a dinasour park and many other social activity zones.

The District Mayor Mehmet Tahmazoğlu opened the park to visitors, while telling reports the park was a significant project for them, as the region lacks of parks.

“We have discussed with 2,500 inhabitants, then transformed the area to a park, after expropriation. We have spent two years for expropriation and 2 years for constructions, which costed around 140 million liras” said Tahmazoğlu.
