Mehmet Aktaran / İstanbul, Sep 8 () – In Sarıyer district of Istanbul city, residents of Gümüşdere Village protested the dynamite explosions within construction of link roads for controversial third bridge project, after the blasts broke windows of houses.

A group of villagers gathered and blocked the road in front of neighbourhood unit of village to protest the damage of construction.

Gendarmerie teams took security measures where the demonstrations sparked. After the gendarmerie officers convinced the villagers, the road was reopened to traffic.

“Throughout the summer, they blast dynamites. We are tired of hiting the streets, all family. The base of houses have been shaken off.

The trucks keep passing through the villages. Our children are under threat. We don’t have any life safety. Anxiety sparked among our children” said the villagers.
