Murat Gürbüzler / Kayseri, Aug 24 () – In Tomarza district of Central Anatolian province of Kayseri, the Sümengen Plateau has become tainted due to lack of maintenance, despite its dazzling natural beauty. The district’s people complain of the fell in number of visitors going to the plateau and the lack of care.

To attract attention of tourists and officials to the plateau, a 15-kilometer-long road has been constructed to ease the access from Tomarza district center, as the plateau has hosted the İncili Çavuş Cultural Events in 2005.

The Sümengen plateau, known with its vegetation and natural water sources running through mountains, has been used as a platform for social events among the people of Tomarza.
