İbrahim Laleli / Antalya, Sep 1 () - A “Butterfly Park” that hosts hundreds of butterflies from 12 different species has opened its doors to tourists in Mediterranean resort town of Antalya.

Butterfly species that have been brought from around 25 countries across the world include Attacus Atlas, Cethosia Cyane, Graphium Agamennon, Hypolimnas Bolina, Idea Leuconea, Pachiopta Kotzebuea, Papilio Demoleus, Papilio Lowi, Papilio Polinurus, Papilio Polytes, Papilio Rumanzoia and Parthenos Sylvia.

Along with hundreds of butterflies, around 10,000 plants have been sowed at the park so that the butterflies could be nourished. Also, natural environment of butterflies have been tried to procured, as the heat was adjusted to between 35 and 38 degrees, and humidity rate was adjusted between 30 and 50 degrees.

The butterfly park will also include rooms for a botanic garden, wild life area, bird species, and spaces that visitors could watch bees while making honey.

Around 5 million liras have been invested for the park.
