Istanbul, Sep 8 () - Daily Hürriyet’s Istanbul headquarters was pelted with stones by a group of club-swinging pro- Justice and Development Party (AKP) supporters on Sept. 8, less than 48 hours after a similar attack.

Around 100 protesters arrived at the outer gate of the building at 8.30 p.m. They forced their way into the garden despite the presence of a small unit of riot police.

Protesters chanted the name of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, as well as "God is great," while damaging the door of the building. Security forces prevented them entering the building in the last moment and protesters were removed from the garden after more police units came.

Accompanied by two long-haul trucks, flag-carrying protesters kept chanting slogans at the outer gate of the complex.
