Nermin Uçtu / Manisa, Sep 18 () - In western province of Manisa, the Provincial Directorate of Public Health announced that among the 7,648 registrations to Alcohol and Drug Addiction Treatment Centers (AMATEM), 6,908 applications have stemmed from drug addiction, in the first six months of 2015.

The sharp rise in drug addiction was announced as 90 percent against aother addictive substances, at the Manisa Province Drug Coordination Council September meeting.

The Council has reached around 10,349 people within the fight against drugs, in 25 different high schools. The programme has also being implemented in primary and elementary schools, having achieved to raise awareness among around 53,700 students so far.
