Three civilians killed in Cizre were shot on head: Bar of Diyarbakır

Tahir Elçi from the Bar of Diyarbakır called on both security forces and Kurdistan Communities Union (KCK) to conform to humanitarian law and right to live.

“Eyewitnesses have told snipers from two military units have opened pinpoint and selective fire over people for 2-3 hours. Thus the committee has concluded that these killings were extrajudicial and arbitrary” said the statement.

Four people including 10-year-old Emin Yavaş and 7-year-old Baran Çağlı have been killed during incidents in tense Cizre. Although Çağlı has been hospitalized after the incident, he has succumbed to his injuries, recently.

The clashes have erupted after PKK members have set up barricades against Turkish security forces on streets of Cizre. Bar of Diyarbakır has deployed a committee to launch examinations in the region, after the clashes where four civilians were killed.
